FIGHTING CHANGE

I have had some health issues that I had to deal with that used up most of my physical energy.  I am feeling much better now and I hope to be back writing again.

When I was pregnant for both of my children my body didn’t want to go into labor.  Without going into too much detail with my first child my water broke on a Friday afternoon but I didn’t start to get contractions until Monday morning.  With my second child when my water broke I went into the hospital and they had to induce labor because once again no contractions.  It’s as if my body doesn’t like to give up anything.

Now that I am older, my kids are all grown, and it is time for a new change for my body, it started to rebel again.  My body is hanging on to its youth and doesn’t want to change.  You’re probably saying, sure doesn’t everybody want to hang on to their youth? Lol  Well, yes, but  there is something to be said for living gracefully.  I can still live youthfully and let my body cooperate. The change will happen whether my body cooperates or not.  Just like when I was to go into labor my body had a mind of its own and didn’t want to go into labor so it was induced.

I am telling you this story because change happens no matter what. This is not the first time I have written about change, and it probably won’t be the last. The world is changing right now at an accelerated rate.  The earth is also changing rapidly and in order to keep up we must be able to change with it.  If you fight it you will be left behind.  You will stagnate.

To help with change, any type of change, you can always go within and find your heart center.  There you will find peace and be able to let go and move on, because that’s what change is all about.  You have to let go of the old out-dated and move on to the new and unknown, which for many is the scary part.

If ever you are not sure about something, the first thing you should think about is whether it puts a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart (makes you feel up with positive energy) – or – it feels like it’s sucking the energy out of you and you have trouble smiling (brings you down with negative energy).  UP vs DOWN.  This is using your intuition and you will not go wrong.  You can often feel this even when you walk into a room; a nice warm friendly feeling or a cool sucking energy feeling.

Using the UP / DOWN method makes it easier to let go of the old out-dated energy that is dragging you down and move on to new energy that is only warm and loving.  You will actually feel lighter once you get rid of the negative energy.

Life is all about choices.  Change is also a choice.  Wouldn’t you prefer to have a smile on your face every day than a frown and feeling down?

Namaste!
