MAGICAL IMAGINATION

Unicorn Comments & Graphics

~Magickal Graphics~

Why do we lose our imagination when we grow up? We should embrace it. It makes life so much more colorful!!!

Remember back when we were kids playing with the empty boxes that came with the big toys or even better the really big boxes if your parents happened to get a new fridge?  They were more fun to play with than the toys.  They turned into houses, cars, boats or secret forts and castles. You name it, those boxes turned into anything your heart desired.  That was the whole reason for there appeal.  A plain ordinary box was transformed, in your mind, into an elaborate ensemble that kept you occupied for hours if not days.

But, sadly we grew up.  We packed up our imaginations into little boxes and stored them in the back of our minds.  I am not saying that as adults we do not have an imagination. We just call it being creative now.  It’s not play.  It’s not magical.  There was no stress when play was magical and there lies the key.

“We think, sometimes, there’s not a dragon left. Not one brave knight, not a single princess gliding through secret forests … What a pleasure to be wrong. Princesses, knights, enchantments and dragons, mystery and adventure … not only are they here-and-now, they’re all that ever lived on earth! Masters of reality still meet us in dreams to tell us that we’ve never lost the shield we need against dragons, that blue-fire voltage arcs through us now to change our world as we wish. Intuition whispers true: We’re not dust, we’re magic!”

— Richard Bach

We must give ourselves permission to play once more.  Take the time for yourself and have fun. I am not talking about organized sports or dance or any kind of organized structured class. I am talking about using your magical imagination and sitting in that box or rolling around on the grass kind of fun; where the only requirement is laughter.  Soon you will notice the tension is gone out of your body, you don’t feel any stress, and when you look in the mirror you have a grin from ear to ear!

Namaste!
